Boinns Screw conveyor are spiral bulk material transportation systems that convey raw ingredients to and from processing areas that are on different levels of a facility. These conveyors are slanted at different angles to economically elevate and convey materials up and down floors. They require ample space and an increased amount of power to lift the material, depending on the steepness of the angle. Screw conveyor, also called spiral conveyer, auger conveyor, screw feeder, vibrating conveyor, flexible screw conveyor, etc.
Screw conveyor is designed to transport series materials from one place to another. This kind screw conveyor can be used to transport series materials of powder, granular or small block in pharmaceutical industry.
It consists of a helical flight fastened around a pipe or solid shaft, mounted within a tubular or U-shaped trough. As the screw rotates, material heaps up in front of the advancing flight and is pushed through the tubular pipe. particles in the heap next to the flight surface are carried part way up the flight surface, and then flow down on the forward-moving side of the heap. Products can be conveyed and elevated at the same time by mounting a screw conveyor at an incline. This is often desirable because it covers two operations with one piece of equipment therefore saving space and reducing downtime, maintenance cost, etc. A standard Electric Screw Conveyor will often operate normally at angles up to 15º with only a small loss in capacity.
